Create New Account

This resource is restricted to current SU students, faculty and staff. Registration requires a valid SU ID.

Use this form to create a new account in MyLibrary. All fields are required.

Enter your 10-digit SU ID number without any spaces or dashes.

Choose and enter a username that is a minimum of 6 characters and is easy for you to remember. You will use your MyLibrary username to access your personal, customized page of resources.

Choose and enter a password that is a minimum of 8 characters (letters or numbers) in length. Your password protects access to your personal page. To protect your privacy, your password will appear as asterisks - ******** - on the screen.

Retype your chosen password to ensure you have typed it correctly. To protect your privacy, your password will appear as asterisks - ******** - on the screen. When you select the "create" button to create the account, if there are typographical differences in the two password entries, you will be asked to try again.

Choose and enter your challenge question. An example of a challenge question is: "What is your mother's maiden name?"

Choose and enter your challenge response to your challenge question. Your challenge response protects access to your account password. To protect your privacy, your response will appear as asterisks - ******** - on the screen.

Retype your challenge response to your challenge question to ensure you have typed it correctly. To protect your privacy, your response will appear as asterisks - ******** - on the screen. When you select the "create" button to create the account, if there are typographical differences in the two response entries, you will be asked to try again.

Enter your first name or name by which you prefer to be addressed.

Enter your last name as it appears on your SU ID card.

Enter your complete email address. For Example: you@syr.edu, you@hotmail.com

May we contact you? This lets us know if we may add your email address to an email distribution list for information relevant to either MyLibrary or to new information products in your discipline area.	Yes No

Select your current affiliation status at Syracuse University. If more than one type applies, select one to be primary.

Select the discipline which best represents the subject area of your information needs. This is the discipline area to which your page will be tailored. You may add resources from other discipline areas by selecting "add/remove" from the main resource headings, such as My E-journals or My Databases.
